Crazy desision to lock Epiphenomenon thread?
#1
This forum was set up so we didn’t have such crazy decisions as we were getting on Skeptiko... hands off moderation I thought... yet here we are locking this thread... because... errr... for absolutely no good reason AFAICS, other than a moderator has apparently decided that we can only have one thread per subject? Eh?

Yes I’m appealing it, because it shouldn’t have happened.

Well, the difference is that here, unpopular decisions are reversed.

Keep on calling it as you see it, Max - dissent is key to democracy.

That's good. But, on the subject, how's that gonna continue to work if a one-party China, eventually becomes the most powerful state on the planet.

Well... the Soviet Empire was dismantled. The Berlin Wall fell. Apartheid ended in South Africa. Etc. All due to internal recognition that the status quo was wrong and needed to change. So, there's cause to be optimistic. Not blindly optimistic, but at least there are historical precedents.
